How Product Delivery Works
Product fundraisers are built around a single bulk delivery. Once your campaign closes and you place the order, the wholesaler sends the whole lot to one address, and you distribute it from there.
Two separate legs
It helps to think of the journey in two parts.
The wholesaler delivers to you, in bulk, at one address you nominate. Everything arrives together and none of it goes directly to your supporters. Wholesalers do not ship to individual buyers.
You then get the orders to your supporters. Under Fulfilment Methods in your fundraiser settings you choose how: collection from one or more pickup points you set up, delivery to the supporter's own address, or both. If you offer delivery, the supporter enters their address at checkout and you are the one who delivers it.
Delivery costs
Most wholesalers deliver free above a minimum spend. The threshold and the charge below it vary by wholesaler, so check the terms on the wholesaler you have chosen before you set your target.
Some wholesalers also let you collect from them directly, which can be worth doing if you are nearby.
Supporters who live out of town
This is the most common disappointment, so it is worth planning for. A wholesaler will not post an order to your aunt in another city. Everything comes to you first.
You can offer delivery and post it on yourself, but for a handful of distant supporters the postage usually costs more than the fundraiser earns, particularly for anything chilled or fragile.
The usual answer is to run a crowdfunding campaign alongside your product fundraiser and share that link with anyone too far away to collect. They contribute, nothing needs shipping, and it still counts towards what you raise. See Choosing the Right Type of Fundraiser.
Questions about the products themselves
What is in a pack, how flavours are chosen, ingredients, allergens and shelf life are all set by the wholesaler rather than by Raised.
Some offerings are a mixed or random selection rather than something the buyer picks. If that matters to your supporters, check the wholesaler's terms and FAQs before you launch and say so clearly on your page, so nobody is surprised at collection.
For anything specific about a product, contact the wholesaler directly. Their details are on their listing.
