Moving from Shout for Good to Raised: A Step-by-Step Guide
A practical walkthrough for charities, schools, and clubs switching from Shout for Good to Raised: sign up, set up your first campaign, connect payments, and bring your supporters across.

Shout for Good is winding down, so if you have been using it to collect donations you need a new home for your fundraising. This guide walks you through moving to Raised step by step, from creating your account to sharing your new page with supporters.
You can be set up in a few minutes, and it costs nothing to start. For a side-by-side comparison first, see Shout for Good vs Raised.
Before you leave Shout for Good
A couple of things to do while the platform is still online:
- Export your data. Download any donor lists, transaction records, or reports from your Shout for Good dashboard. Once the platform goes offline, that information may be gone for good.
- Note where your old links live. Check which posters, flyers, website pages, email signatures, and social profiles point to your Shout for Good page. You will update these later.
Step 1: Create your Raised account
Head to the sign-up page and choose your account type:
- Organisation if you are a charity, school, sports club, or community group.
- Individual if you are running a personal fundraiser.
There is no separate "charity" account type on Raised. Charities sign up as an Organisation. You will add your organisation name, email, a password, and your contact details. For a fuller walkthrough, see Creating Your Raised Account.
Step 2: Set up your public appearance
Under Settings → Public Information, add your display name and upload your logo. This is what supporters see on your campaigns, so it is worth getting right before you launch. See Completing Your Account Setup.
Step 3: Create your first campaign
From your dashboard, go to Create and pick the type of campaign that fits you:
- Product Fundraiser to sell items like pies, chocolates, or plants. You can either use a featured wholesaler from the wholesaler marketplace or build your own catalogue and add your own products.
- Crowdfund Campaign to collect donations towards a goal, the closest match to what you did on Shout for Good, now with a live progress bar. You can also run a colour run as a crowdfunding campaign.
Add your campaign details, dates, a fundraising target, and a thank-you message for supporters. See Launching Your First Campaign.
Step 4: Connect your payments
Raised gives you more payment options than Shout for Good did.
- Card payments: connect your Stripe account under Settings → Payments. Stripe handles the setup and verification, and once it is done you can accept cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. See How Stripe Payments Work.
- Cash and bank transfer: enable these on your fundraiser's payment settings. For bank transfer you add your account name and number so supporters can pay you directly. Both cash and bank transfer have no processing fees at all.
- Tap to Pay: take contactless card payments in person using the Raised mobile app on your iPhone, with no card reader needed. This replaces Shout for Good's tap-to-donate terminals. See Taking In-Person Payments with Tap to Pay.
On the pricing side, there are no setup fees, monthly fees, or subscriptions. A 5% platform fee is added to each donation and paid by the supporter, not you, and cash and bank transfer are free. See full pricing.
Step 5: Get approved and go live
Your campaign is reviewed by our team before it goes live, usually within a few business hours. To be ready for approval, verify your email address, and if you are running a crowdfunding campaign, complete the quick identity check and connect Stripe. Your dashboard shows a setup checklist that walks you through whatever applies to you. See Getting Approved to Go Live.
Step 6: Bring your supporters across
Once your campaign is live, share it:
- Use the Share button to copy your link or post to Facebook, WhatsApp, or email.
- Download a QR code from the marketing tools for posters, flyers, and event tables. You can also generate a printable poster.
- Update every place your old Shout for Good link appeared with your new Raised link.
- Send your supporters a short message: "We have moved. Here is where to support us now."
Do not wait too long
Supporters who click an old Shout for Good link after it goes offline will hit a dead page, and most will not go searching for your new one. The sooner you set up on Raised and update your links, the less you lose in the switch.
