Ongoing Donation Pages and Recurring Giving
An ongoing campaign is a donation page with no end date. It stays open so supporters can give whenever they're ready, rather than only during a short fundraising window. Supporters can also choose to make their donation automatic and monthly, which gives your organisation a steady, predictable source of income.
When to Use an Ongoing Page
- A club's permanent "support us" page, linked from your website and newsletters all year
- A school keeping donations open between its main term fundraisers
- A charity or community group that raises money steadily through the year
If you have a specific goal and a deadline, a standard crowdfunding campaign with a progress bar is usually the better fit. The two work well together: run dated campaigns for big pushes, and keep an ongoing page open in between.
Setting One Up
- Log in to your dashboard and choose to create a new fundraiser.
- Select a donation campaign and choose the ongoing option, which leaves the end date open.
- Add your details: name, description, banner image, and a thank-you message.
- Complete the usual verification and approval steps before going live. See Getting Approved to Go Live.
Ongoing pages need a connected Stripe account, the same as any donation campaign. Supporters pay by credit or debit card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay.
How Recurring Giving Works
When a supporter donates on an ongoing page, they can choose to make it a one-off gift or a monthly donation.
- Monthly donations repeat automatically. The supporter's card is charged the same amount each month.
- Each payment gets its own receipt. See Donation Receipts.
- Supporters can cancel at any time. They stay in control of their giving, and no more payments are taken after they cancel. If a supporter can't work out how to cancel, they can contact support.
- You can see your recurring supporters in your dashboard, so you know what regular income to expect.
Fees
Fees work the same as other donation campaigns on Raised. Each donation, one-off or monthly, is treated as a normal donation payment. There are no extra charges for running an ongoing page or for recurring giving.
Closing an Ongoing Page
No end date doesn't mean forever. You can close an ongoing page from your dashboard whenever you like, and recurring donations to that page stop once it closes.
