Pausing and Resuming a Fundraiser

Sometimes you may need to temporarily stop your fundraiser from accepting orders — whether for a school holiday break, a supply issue, or any other reason. This guide explains how to pause and resume your campaign.

Pausing a Fundraiser

To pause your campaign:

Go to your Dashboard.
Select the fundraiser you want to pause.
Click Settings.
Click Pause Fundraiser.
Confirm that you want to pause the campaign.

Once paused:

Your campaign page will display a paused message to visitors
No new orders can be placed by supporters
Existing orders are not affected — they remain as-is
The campaign will not appear as active in search results

Tip: Let your supporters know before pausing so they aren't surprised when they try to place an order.

Resuming a Fundraiser

To resume a paused campaign:

Go to your Dashboard.
Select the paused fundraiser.
Click Settings.
Click Resume Fundraiser.

Your campaign will immediately start accepting orders again.

⚠️ Important: If a payment method has been disabled from your account since the fundraiser was paused (e.g., your Stripe account was disconnected), you will need to re-link it or remove it as a payment method before you can resume.

Who Can Pause and Resume?

You can pause and resume your own fundraiser at any time, as long as it's still open.
Your wholesaler can also pause a fundraiser that uses their catalogue. If a wholesaler pauses your fundraiser, only the wholesaler (or Raised support) can resume it.
Managed fundraisers — If your fundraiser is managed by Raised, you cannot pause it yourself. Contact our support team to request changes.

⚠️ Important: You cannot pause a fundraiser that has already closed.

Things to Keep in Mind

Campaign dates still apply — Pausing does not extend your campaign's end date. If your end date passes while the campaign is paused, the fundraiser will close as normal.
Payment methods — When resuming, ensure your payment methods are still correctly configured (e.g., your Stripe account is still connected).
