Team merchandise fundraiser: how Team Michels/Smith took $5,065 in orders

The goal

Team Michels/Smith is the current New Zealand mixed doubles curling team, based in Invercargill. The team is raising money to compete at the World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship in Finland in January 2027.

The team set a $5,000 goal.

How they ran it on Raised

• A product fundraiser on Raised, open for orders from 8 September to 5 October 2026.
• Custom T-shirts and caps, added as the team's own product catalogue rather than through one of Raised's wholesalers.
• The design was created by a member of the team.
• Supporters ordered from the team's fundraiser page.

The result

Merchandise orders came to $5,065, reaching 101% of the team's $5,000 goal. That came from 39 orders placed by 38 supporters.

Figures from Raised's records for the campaign dates shown. All amounts are in New Zealand dollars. The group sold products from its own supplier, so these figures are the total order value, not the amount the group kept after paying that supplier.
