The goal
The group is raising money to send Scouts to two jamborees: the 24th New Zealand Scout Jamboree at Mystery Creek, Hamilton, over December 2026 and January 2027, and the 26th World Scout Jamboree in Poland in July and August 2027.
The sausage sizzle page has a $5,000 goal. Sales to 25 October 2026 are 49% of it, and the campaign is still open.
How they ran it on Raised
- Sausage Sizzle, a product fundraiser on Raised, open from 12 May to 30 December 2026.
- At each sizzle, the organiser takes contactless card payments on their phone through the Raised app with Tap to Pay. There is no separate card reader.
- Every one of the 361 sales to 25 October 2026 was paid by card with Tap to Pay. The campaign has taken no cash or bank transfer payments.
- The group buys its own sausages and sells them through its own product catalogue rather than one of Raised's wholesalers.
- Each sale is recorded on Raised with the group's other campaigns.
- Alongside the sizzle, the group runs online pre-order campaigns with Raised wholesalers: a Cheese 5-Pack with Jones Family Farm in 2025, then hot cross buns and family pies with Doughboys Bakery in 2026.
The result
To 25 October 2026, the sizzle has taken $2,442 in sales from 361 sales across 21 sizzle days between 16 May and 25 October 2026. The average sale was $6.77.
The busiest two days so far were 17 and 18 July 2026, with 168 sales and $1,166 in sales between them: 90 sales and $598 on the 17th, and 78 sales and $568 on the 18th.
Altogether the group has run four campaigns on Raised since August 2025: pre-orders with Jones Family Farm and Doughboys Bakery, plus Tap to Pay at the sizzle.

See the campaignFigures from Raised's records for the campaign dates shown. All amounts are in New Zealand dollars. The sausage sizzle is still open, so its figures are to 25 October 2026. The group buys its own sausages, so sizzle figures are total sales, not the amount the group kept. The pre-orders used Raised wholesalers, and the kept figures are the group's share of those orders.
