Back Your Player – Polynesian Cup Tahiti 2026

Back your player and support the team! 🏀

Our Cook Islands Basketball teams are heading to Tahiti for the FIBA Polynesian Cup, 19–24 October 2026.

WHY YOUR CONTINUED SUPPORT MATTERS

Our players fund their own participation. Finishing in the top two at the Polynesian Cup would qualify our teams for the 2027 Pacific Games, and your support helps them get there. Alongside their $2,500 player contribution, many players must pay to travel to and from Rarotonga for team camp and the flight to Tahiti.

Please don’t let the $2,500 figure stop you from backing a player further. Every extra dollar raised helps reduce the cost they carry. 💚🏀

A few players are also still looking for Player Sponsors. If you’re interested, please email Joy.

CAMP IN RAROTONGA - COME MEET THE TEAM!

The team are now preparing to head to Rarotonga for a camp, before departing to Tahiti on Sunday 18 October 2026.

We look forward to going home and meeting family, friends and other basketball lovers. We will be in Rarotonga from 16-17 October and will be running a number of community and fundraising events, so please check out local notices and CIBF updates and come meet the team, we look forward to meeting you!

A THANK YOU TO OUR SUPPORTERS

We've already kicked off our give-away series with player merch being shared with our supporters. We will continue to do this with supporters through to the end of the tournament.

Your support has brought us this far. Please keep backing our players—we appreciate you!

Choose a player to back and make a donation of any amount. Every donation goes into the draw to win vouchers or supporter merch! Every contribution also helps our athletes represent the Cook Islands as they take on other countries from across the Pacific.

Online payment methods include bank card and Apple Pay. So don't let the boarders stop you from supporting the team! If you’re in the Cook Islands and would like to support a player, email Joy and she can arrange payment locally

Prefer to pay by bank transfer?

If you would prefer to pay by bank transfer, contact us by email at [email protected] and we'll send you the account details. Please let me know the name of the player you are backing so I can make sure your donation is added to their fundraising total.
