Account Settings
Learn how to manage your account holder information, update your credentials, and other account preferences.
Accessing Your Account Settings
You can access your Account Settings page from your main dashboard. Click on your profile name or icon in the top-right corner of the screen to open a dropdown menu, then select "Account Settings".
Account Information
The "Account Settings" tab is typically the default view and contains several sections for managing your core account details.
Account Holder Information
This section allows you to manage the primary contact information associated with your account. You can update the following details:
- First Name: Your given name.
- Last Name: Your family name.
- Phone Number: Your contact phone number, including the international prefix.
- Address: Your physical address. You can typically:
- Start typing an address to see pre-fill suggestions.
- Use your current location (if browser permissions allow).
- Enter the address manually field by field.
- Is this a business/school address?: A checkbox to indicate if the address is commercial or institutional rather than residential.
After making changes, click the "Update" button within this section to save them.
Change Password or Email Address
For security, updating your password or email address requires you to enter your current password.
You can update your password, your email address, or both at the same time using the fields below:
- Current Password: Enter your existing password. This is required for any changes in this section.
- New Password: If changing your password, enter the new one here. Ensure it meets any stated security requirements (e.g., length, character types).
- Confirm Password: Re-enter your new password to confirm it if you are setting a new one.
- New Email: If changing your login/contact email, enter the new email address here.
Tip: To change only your password, leave the 'New Email' field blank. To change only your email, fill the 'New Email' field and ensure 'Current Password' is correctly entered.
After filling in the necessary fields, click the "Update" button associated with this section to apply the changes.
Delete Your Account
This section provides an option to permanently delete your account and all associated data.
Important Note: Account deletion is irreversible. All your data, including campaigns, donor information, and settings, will be permanently removed.
In some cases, you may be unable to delete your account if there are active ongoing activities, such as active fundraisers. The system will usually inform you if such conditions prevent deletion, and these will need to be resolved or completed first.
If you are sure you want to proceed and meet any conditions, click the "Delete Account" button. You may be asked for further confirmation.
Other Settings Tabs
The Account Settings page often includes navigation tabs at the top, allowing you to access other related settings areas. These may include (but are not limited to):
- Public Information
- Payment Setup
- Multi-Factor Authentication
- Notification Preferences
- Debug Information
Click on any of these tabs to navigate to their respective settings panels.
