My life is fueled by a love for the outdoors and the true Kiwi way of life - living off the land, exploring our beautiful backyard, and sharing a meal around the fire with my family and friends. Whether we're camping under the stars or hosting a massive spread at home, for me, BBQ isn't just about the food; it’s about that drive to make the most of every moment. That's where the idea for Crest & Claw was born. It didn't come from a boardroom; it came from a tray of 120 chicken lollipops and two and a half hours of wrestling with shears and a knife. I knew there had to be a better way to get back to the people who matter.

A few days later, while out camping, I couldn't shake the feeling that a proper solution was missing from the market. Under the Kiwi summer sun, I started tinkering with a vision: a piece of industrial-grade hardware that turns a 5-minute struggle into a 20-second win for chicken lollipops.

We are right at the start of this build, moving from my hand-drawn sketches into the engineering phase. Turning a backyard idea into a reality takes a crew, and I’m looking to get as many people involved as I can. This isn't just about a tool; it's about that Number 8 wire spirit and building the next wave in BBQ prep together. I’ve done the hard yards on the concept; now I’m looking for the team to help me get these blueprints off the bench and into the fire

The Mission: The Series 01 Lollipop Maker

The Series 01 isn't a kitchen gadget — it's a mechanical shortcut. We've mapped out a high-leverage, stainless steel beast designed to handle the "chicken lollipop" prep for you. No more hand-cramping or jagged bones. Our Zero-Plastic Policy means if it's not 304-grade stainless steel, it's not in our box. This is "pass-it-down-to-your-grandkids" quality. The result? You save nearly 5 minutes of work per lollipop — more time with a cold one in your hand and less time stuck at the prep table.

To be straight with everyone: Crest & Claw is currently a bold vision on a digital drafting board. We've obsessed over the mechanical logic required to process a chicken lollipop in seconds, and we've identified the exact industrial materials we need. We haven't hit "print" on the first prototype yet, but we've cleared the legal hurdles to protect our designs. Now we just need the spark to start the engine.
