Hey team!
In January I am off to Northern Thailands Mai Sarang region for 2 weeks, with a group other healthcare professionals and students. The aim of the trip is to provide healthcare education and set up a network of first responders in remote hill tribes as the nearest hospital is quite the trek away and access to healthcare is difficult.
With the nature of the region, most families have limited access to quality education and/or health services. The program focuses on educating the community on a wide range of issues around health and well-being as well as supporting local health workers, with the goal of improving overall community health.
The point of this crowdfunding page is to support the continued growth of the community in Mai Sarang whilst strengthening their health and wellbeing infrastructure. Fundraising also provides the ability to continue running trips like these. Heres a peak into what your donation could enable:
$60 enables a workshop to be delivered to students
$80 provides a girl with a menstrual health kit
$200 creates a vegetable garden to promote access to fresh produce
$4000 enables a safe, sanitary toilet facility to be built in these rural communities.
I'm aiming for $200 in total but anything above that would be a blessing to communities like these, thanks for reading!
