Your donation - in any amount - helps us to share our joy of a cappella music and supports us immensely.
Waikato Rivertones Chorus is a group of women from all over the Waikato who love to sing in four-part harmony.
We are members of Sing United International, a worldwide organisation committed to advancing the musical art form of barbershop harmony through educational programmes and performances.
Sing United promotes friendship and a sense of belonging among women of all ages, races and ethnic backgrounds. There are currently more than 23,000 members throughout America and 14 other countries.
The Waikato Rivertones Chorus has been a chapter of Region 35 since 1995 and currently has around 50 members from Hamilton and the surrounding districts.
We sing because we love it, and we perform in our own shows and for corporate, community, and private events. We also work hard to compete against the world’s best and constantly improve our craft.
If you love to sing and can hold a tune, come and join us! You don’t need to read music or have a trained voice - just be able to sing in tune and hold your part. You don’t even need experience - just a willingness to learn techniques such as breathing, vocal and visual performance skills.
We rehearse in the Marian School Hall on Monday Nights from 7-10 pm. Visitors are welcome, and we encourage you to drop by!
