Help Me Reunite With My Family

My name is Michael, and I’m asking for help at one of the most difficult times in my life.

I currently live in New Zealand while my wife is in Australia. Being separated from the person I love has been emotionally and financially devastating. Every day apart is another reminder of how much I want to be with my family.

Over the past several months I have been unemployed and relying on government assistance just to survive. I don’t own a vehicle, my savings have been exhausted, and despite actively applying for jobs, employment opportunities have been difficult to secure. Remaining on a benefit is not the life I want—I want to work, contribute, and support my family again.

I’m also waiting for my New Zealand citizenship application to be completed, which has left many aspects of my future uncertain.

I’m raising NZ$20,000 to give my family and me a fresh start. The funds will help cover:

• Travel and relocation costs to Australia.

• Visa, documentation, and administrative expenses where required.

• Essential living expenses during the transition.

• Establishing stable accommodation.

• Transportation and job-search costs so I can return to work as quickly as possible.

Throughout my career I’ve worked in healthcare, mental health, customer service, and technology project management. I’ve always believed in helping others, and asking for help doesn’t come naturally to me. Today, however, I find myself in the position where I simply cannot do this alone.
