Help Us Launch Lady Waiake 2 ⛵

For more than 50 years, our much loved club boat Lady Waiake has been part of the Torbay Sailing Club story and a familiar sight on Waiake Bay.

Built by Life Member Terry Bailey, Lady Waiake has served generations of sailors, volunteers and club members. She has been there through countless sailing days, regattas and adventures on the water and has become a true icon of our club and our local community.

Sadly, after more than half a century of loyal service, the time has come for Lady Waiake to retire.

But her story isn’t ending there.

We are excited to have Lady Waiake 2 currently in production — a new club boat that will carry on her name, her legacy and her important role at Torbay Sailing Club for many years to come.

Now we need a little help from our community to get her finished and onto the water.

Every contribution, large or small, will help us complete Lady Waiake 2 and give Torbay Sailing Club a safe, reliable new club boat to support our sailors, events and community.
